Projects in this area aim to promote the development of healthcare institutions, including through the procurement of medical equipment and targeted aid to people with severe illnesses (reimbursement of costly surgery, medicines, and rehabilitation).
The Company focused all of its efforts on ensuring employee safety during the pandemic. In view of the epidemiological situation, a comprehensive programme to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 was initiated in March 2020. The programme covered all Group companies and certain resident categories in the communities of the regions where the companies operate, such as socially vulnerable groups and medical workers.
In 2020, the total programme budget for various measures to combat the pandemic amounted to more than RUB 4.7 billion, including RUB 4.1 billion allocated to corporate costs (measures aimed at reducing the risk of the disease spread, social support for the employees, etc.); RUB 0.6 billion allocated to external social costs (support of the regions where the companies operate).
