Gender balance, support for parenthood and childhood
NLMK Group strives to maintain a gender balance, taking into account the specifics of the steel industry, provides the necessary support to working parents and their children, and takes care of the health of future generations.
The Company pays special attention to women's health, support for pregnant women and employees on parental leave.
The Company creates equal career opportunities for women and encourages female employees to participate in leadership programmes and competitions.
All employees, regardless of gender, can receive birth grants and take a parental leave.
Family Heights parenting school
In 2023, NLMK launched a dedicated programme for parents. The Family Heights School is an educational programme devoted to parent-child relationships.
The programme encompasses the employees and their relatives. In 2024, it was extended to the residents of Lipetsk to include large families and people in care of the Miloserdiye Charitable Fund.
The programme aims to foster a mindful attitude towards family well-being and parenting, improve the employees’ parenting skills, which is done, among other things, by providing workplace resources and amenities.
The programme includes:
- Meetings with parenting specialists, psychologists, popular experts and media personalities,
- Learning and awareness-raising materials on parenting, master classes,
- Family-centred creativity contests, games, and volunteer events.
