Manufactured with patented proprietary technologies, NLMK’s grain-oriented electrical steel goes into transformer magnetic cores and reactors.

The unique production processes and strict quality controls ensure its low specific magnetic losses and high induction. Operators have to monitor around 500 production parameters within extremely narrow ranges.

GOES enables a reduction of energy losses in electricity transformers and a higher efficiency of electrical equipment.

It is used in the production of power, distribution, measuring transformers, shunt reactors, and other electrical products. Hot-rolled steel is rolled twice on cold-rolling mill, then it is subjected to decarburizing, high-temperature, and thermoflattening annealing with the application of an electrical insulation coating.
