NLMK Group, an international steel company, won the ‘Leader in Competitive Procurement’ award topping the ‘Competitive procurement professional’ nomination.

The expert jury applauded the contribution of NLMK Group's procurement team headed by the Vice President, Mr. Anatoly Khebnev, to the procurement process development. In 2020, the company introduced a procurement chat-bot, electronic document management, and a pilot project of warehouse operation automation. Those projects were able to speed-up procurement procedures, reduce costs, and improve interaction with suppliers.

The ‘Leader in Competitive Procurement’ is a professional competition in the field of trading and procurement. The mission of the competition is to create visibility for the most significant projects in procurement that boost business efficiency and contribute to developing the entire market. 247 Russian companies from all economy sectors took part in this year’s competition . The Award’s Community Board made up of 70 independent experts in procurement named the winners in 16 nominations.

NLMK Group has previously won this competition before: as the ‘Company of the Year’ in 2019, as the ‘Leader in the Digitalisation of Procurement Processes’ in 2018, and as the ‘Leader in Procurement Efficiency"’ in 2017.
