NLMK Group won the Grand Prix at the Leader in Competitive Procurement Awards, earning the title of Company of the Year in the field.

A jury of independent experts commended the contribution of NLMK’s team led by Anatoly Khebnev, Vice President for Procurement, to developing the procurement process. The experts highlighted such NLMK projects, as implementing the Value Chain concept with suppliers of polymer coatings, technical overhaul of the central warehouse, robotization of standard bidding procedures, and strategic partnership with suppliers of main process equipment. These and other projects have enabled the Company to boost the productivity of procurement procedures, cut costs, and enhance supplier relations.

Leader in Competitive Procurement is a professional competition in sales and procurement. The competition aims to draw attention to the most meaningful procurement projects that increase the efficiency of operations and contribute to developing the market. This year, 270 Russian companies from all industries, 40% of which are part of the Expert 400 rating, participated in the competition. The winners were selected by the awards community board made up of independent procurement experts.

NLMK Group has retained its number one position in various nominations of the Leader in Competitive Procurement prize for five years in a row: the Competitive Procurement Professional nomination in 2020, Company of the Year in 2019, Leader in Procurement Process Digitalization in 2018, and Leader in Procurement Efficiency in 2017.
