NLMK Group became the winner of the Competitive Procurement Leadership 2022 contest in the “economic efficiency of purchasing operations” nomination. Experts rated highly the NLMK team achievements in transforming delivery chains and building new partnerships in the conditions of unprecedented economic changes. The jury noted the project aimed at import substitution of refractory materials for main steelmaking lines. The approach of the team from the functional area “Purchasing” of NLMK Group was acknowledged as the best practice.

Besides, Ms. Svetlana Lapkina, Director for OPEX Procurement of NLMK Group, became the winner in the Competitive Procurement Professional nomination.

Competitive Procurement Leadership is a professional contest in the trade and procurement business field. The objective of the contest is to attract attention to the most significant projects in the procurement area which increase the efficiency of corporate operations and contribute to market development. This year 148 Russian companies from all industries took part in the contest. The Award’s Community Board made up of independent experts in procurement area selected the winners.
