In July 2020, NLMK Group was the first among Russian companies to integrate an internal solution for managing catalogues - SAP Ariba Catalog - with the Industry Mall electronic catalogue. 

Industry Mall is a specialized customer service portal developed by Siemens, an international leader in electrical engineering, electronics, energy equipment, transportation and lighting.
Functionality of this portal allows accessing all currently available positions, view detailed information about products (specifications, descriptions, images, drawings, documentation), select order numbers for complex products with options and entire systems using a configurator, and make an order.
The portal is used by both purchasing services of the customer companies and engineering departments to support their designing activities. 

Integration was carried out with the PunchOut technology that ensures direct access of the customers to the Industry Mall from the SAP Ariba Catalog through automatic authorization at one click and availability of the entire portal's functionality. With the catalogue technology you don't have to create an MMR in our ERP system as it is created automatically when the need arises.

The project was technically complex and required full involvement of the development teams from both our company and the supplier. Today, NLMK team is working on replicating this experience by implementing similar solutions for such companies as Belaz, Primetals, and SKF.
